Under the patronage and support of His Excellency the Minister, Professor Dr. Khaled Eldrandaly, President of Zagazig University, and the support of His Excellency the Deputy, Professor Dr. Ehab Elbeblawi, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research and Education and Student Affairs, and the supervision and attendance of Professor Dr. Hossam Awad, Dean of the College, the Faculty of Disability and Rehabilitation Sciences, Zagazig University, held an event today, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, on the framework of the presidential initiative "Bidaya" for human development and the importance of the awareness-raising role of universities. The Faculty of Disability and Rehabilitation Sciences held a symposium to introduce Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development, in which Dr. Abdel Rahman El-Tahawy, Sustainable Development Planning Consultant - Member of the National Council for Women and Awareness Coordinator for the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, where Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development was introduced in terms of its preparation stages and launch in February 2016, the reasons for updating it in 2018, what are the objectives of the updated vision, the efforts of the political leadership, the Egyptian state and Egyptian universities in implementing it, and the efforts made by the Egyptian state in integrating people with disabilities and benefiting from their various capabilities and creativity and working to provide all the appropriate possibilities and means for them. The seminar was attended by a group of faculty members, headed by His Excellency Dr. Hassan Mesallam, the assistant body, the administrative staff and a number of students from different groups in the college.
