Unit Tasks

 

• Upgrading the skills and capabilities of faculty members, employees and students in managing crises and disasters that may occur in the college.

• Interest in completing and developing the devices and equipment used in managing crises and disasters of various types.

• Optimal use of devices and equipment.

• Transferring and exchanging successful experiences and expertise in the field of crisis and disaster management, whether natural or as a result of emergency circumstances.

• Increasing the efficiency of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit and upgrading its working cadres.

• Continuous training on developing different scenarios to confront crises.

Unit Objectives

 

• Providing security and safety for the college's human resources (faculty members - employees - students - people with special needs and their parents - workers).

• Securing the college's facilities and individuals against fires, disasters and crises.

• Achieving security and safety standards.

• Spreading awareness among employees and students and training them on the best behavior for crisis/disaster management.

Establishing an effective system within the College of Disability Sciences and Rehabilitation to manage risks, crises and disasters that works to increase the awareness of students, employees, faculty members and their assistants in the college of the risks they may face, and to provide security and safety for human resources and college facilities in an effort to stabilize the internal college community.

Vision of the Unit

The Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the college works to achieve security and safety through the capabilities available to it by developing and implementing the necessary plans for the security and safety of the college’s buildings and facilities to protect lives, equipment, property and the environment and to take appropriate measures to control, prevent or reduce the risk resulting from crises and disasters, in an effort to stabilize the work environment at the college.
